What Patience Actually Does for Your Daily Life
Stress and routine activities are the main rotary components of daily life. Hours just pass with people working and coming home late at night without questioning what significant task have they fulfilled during the day. This makes people impatient for the most part. New technology also allows for many conveniences, which stretch people’s attention and patience to the shortest limits possible.
Patience is what is lacking in today’s world. A task that took a million men to move a machine can now do. These conveniences have worn people’s patience and endurance very thin.
Many people want their tasks to end easily. Some want to get the things they dream about without working for it. When someone makes an error and apologizes, these people continue to lambast painful words against the culprit who admitted his or her mistake.
Patience shows a person only one perspective. This is well known as tunnel vision. Tunnel vision, in a creative sense, limits the perception of an artist to providing a new inspiration to his or her artwork, to which in the end, he or she finds that the artwork says the same message as a previous work.
People want to finish their tasks in a hurry; some get caught up in their passion because they realize solutions are right in front of them. However, they fail to see that not only one solution exists; if they had patience, they could have found more ways.
So practice patience. Clear your mind off everything. When stressed, relax regardless of the situation. You’ll be surprised that your calmness could actually get you the solution for that stressful problem you were having.
Is It Possible to Live a Life Without Beliefs?
In life, one is expected to believe in something whereas objective reality often dishevels that particular belief, which in turn leads to disappointment, cynicism and later on the repeat of the process. As most households in the western world share a common spirituality based on the community they live in, a life without beliefs may be impossible. However, it is not entirely impossible in reality.
Beliefs have both a downside and an upside. Its downside is that believing in something can limit your experience in life. Say for example, if you strongly believe that when you have your car washed it always rains, you would refrain from having a clean car on a clear, sunny day that is nice enough for a stroll. Scientists who believed in life stopped gaining knowledge believing that there are something things that are God’s or a higher being’s and they should not be tampered with.
Most philosophers contest that the problem with beliefs is that it limits the human mind’s ability to live with responsibility existentialism. Responsible in a sense that everything done by a person he or she is responsible for the consequences. When some makes an effort to discover something beneficial amid using immoral means just to achieve such an end, people will react violently as no one wants the responsibility to think that the human race is capable of such despicable acts.
A life without beliefs is possible, but it is more of a rational inquiry rather than just owning responsibilities for actions that were deemed impossible in the past. Rational inquiry means that nothing is true until empirical evidence can prove the truth in such a statement, declared fact or the results from an earlier experiment are to be taken as the truth.
Spirituality: Focusing on the Higher Objective
If you’ve held a belief since as a child and it has never failed you more than once, it might mean that it is a higher objective. According to psychologists, dreams and aspirations are motivations for people, however, they will easily deny moral values in the face of fulfilling their goals. Spirituality is involved in the fulfillment of dreams; it is where one actually finds the moral values they need to fulfill their goals.
Spirituality is not doing the work that your religion or your belief assigns to you to become. It is something that you feel deep inside; the need to do good in many ways. Some do not need religion; they are strong enough to realize their own soul and their own calling in life. Some are fulfilled by religion and live by its codes. But whatever one does, spirituality means doing something while you are being honest with yourself, and in this, you do a task that you don’t expect any reward or do for something in exchange.
Most people become disappointed about their beliefs or their religion because they expect something in return for the values and morals appointed to them. Spirituality means following the code without expecting anything, and understanding that it is only through one’s effort that he or she finds or gets what they deserve.
It doesn’t mean that you’ve done a lot of prayers that you can go to heaven. It might just mean that to go to heaven, you have to do something while abiding naturally and intuitively with the moral values that you believe is correct.

Retaining your positivity means that you’ve also prepared yourself should something go wrong with your work plan or something goes wrong during the day.
2. Acceptance
If you don’t like your job, you surely will not enjoy it until the last few years of your life. Surely, it compensates you well, but it doesn’t compensate your spiritual craving or the things that you value in life. If you make mistakes in your job, you must accept that you can make mistakes. Also, ensure that you accept the fact that you can get fired or terminated from your job in the near future.
3. Detachment
Make friends in your office. Your superiors and teammates will value that friendship. However, do not get too attached. If you get too attached, this is when problems can come in. Detachment helps you have a clear mind on the subject matter. It also keeps you away from stress. If a certain workmate has pressured or done you wrong, shrug it away and don’t mind it. Detach yourself and focus on your task.
Another thing about detachment is to be detached from your job. People come and go. Everyone who works in a company is expendable. If you become fired or laid off, it happens. The only thing you could do is to prepare for this particular thing before it happens.

Spirituality: Why It Isn’t Necessarily Religious
Many people often think that spirituality is basically connected with religion. Spirituality does not necessarily need religion, but religion needs spirituality. Spirituality can be found in anything, not just in religion. It is often in the person’s state of mind and the things people do that they find spirituality.
Spirituality is about channeling your thoughts to your inner being. It means trying to find the source of stress and dealing with it. The methods of dealing with the sources of stress can vary from one to the other. But with spirituality, this is binding your thoughts and justifying your stresses not through material or wasteful methods, but rather by focusing yourself on looking at the meta-scape of your life.
For example, what is your reason to live? If you ask yourself this question, you may or may not give a definite answer. If you agree that your stress is justified by the needs of your family, then you have a reason to live. If you agree that you just take what comes in front and deal with it as much as you can, then you can be spiritual as well. Spirituality comes with answering questions in your mind that causes stress.
Another example is when misfortune knocks at your door. You’ve lost an expensive gadget. You ask yourself why you’re depressed with your loss and you try to find reasons to be happy amidst the mishap. You can go into spiritual meditation by stating to yourself that you can live without the item because you can still have it in the future. This is what is meant by looking at the meta-scape, or the big picture in your life.
Religion needs spirituality to guide their people with the same concepts as in any other religion. The justification of certain misfortunes, fortunes and events in life are often answered by spiritual means. Spirituality isn’t always religious. In a sense, it can also be philosophical, or just as simple as rooting it to your personal principles in life.
